| The Bowen Move consists of the skin, over a
muscle or tendon, being lightly stretched with fingers or thumbs. The muscle
or tendon is then gently challenged for a few seconds before a rolling move
is made over it. The position of the Move is very precise. Moves are grouped
according to what is being treated and generally work from the torso
outwards. After a group of moves has been done, the practitioner allows time for
the sensory information to reach the brain, via the spinal column, for
processing before continuing with the next group. |
