What to expect from the first visit Your first treatment will include a full case history, covering your general health as well as details of your symptoms. This helps analyse your particular situation and assess the appropriateness of chiropractic for you. With your consent, the case history will be followed by a physical examination, and orthopaedic and neurological tests as necessary. If Alison suspects a problem which warrants medical investigation or an X-ray, you will be referred to a medical doctor. A first appointment typically takes 90 minutes and may or may not include adjustments. Chiropractic is a partnership and you can expect the findings of the examination, a proposed treatment plan and any risks associated with your condition to be explained before you consent to commencing care.
